Over the past three weeks, CEO Marc Sale has been firmly back on the ground in Ontario, visiting some of First Class Metals’ key projects and getting closer to the geology that underpins the Company’s exploration story.

The field trip began at Kerrs, where Marc ventured into the remote northern reaches of the claims, revisiting the historic resource area and tracking down evidence of previous drilling. From there, the focus shifted to Thunder Bay, where Marc was joined by Geologist Chris Cooper and Professor Mary Louise Hill to examine core and revisit the mineralisation story at Roy.
The team then headed into the field at Pettigrew, working alongside Chris, Mary Louise and Brenden from Emerald Geological Services (EGS). Here, they reviewed strain zones, quartz structures, deformation and recent channel sampling – bringing different areas of expertise together to interpret what the rocks are telling them.
At Roy, the team continued that work on the ground, reviewing the trenched area alongside last year’s drilling. And even on the journey back to base, there was time for another stop at Road Zone, where Marc and the team inspected one of the historic shafts.
It has been three weeks of boots on the ground, core under review, rocks being scrutinised and geological ideas being challenged and refined. And perhaps most importantly, the different pieces are beginning to fit together.
