Wishbone Gold Advances 9,000m Drill Programme at Red Setter Gold-Copper Project

Wishbone Gold Plc (AIM: WSBN) has provided an update on exploration activities at its Red Setter Gold-Copper Project in Western Australia’s highly prospective Paterson Province, where drilling is progressing on schedule across a large-scale gold-copper target.

The project is strategically located approximately 20 kilometres southwest of Greatland Gold’s Telfer gold mine and 50 kilometres east of Cyprium Metals’ Nifty copper operation.

The first phase of the 2026 drilling campaign commenced in early May using a reverse circulation (RC) rig. To date, 14 holes totalling 2,182 metres have been completed from an initial programme of approximately 25 holes and 3,500 metres.

A second phase involving diamond drilling began on 27 May, with two holes completed for 687 metres so far. The overall programme is expected to comprise up to 9,000 metres of drilling, targeting depths of up to 600 metres across the identified gold-copper system.

The campaign is designed to test extensions to known mineralisation, evaluate continuity along a four-kilometre diorite trend, improve understanding of structural controls and target areas showing the strongest alteration and sulphide development.

The 25-hole drill programme totalling up to 9,000 metres has been designed to:

· Test extensions of known gold-copper mineralisation

· Evaluate continuity along the 4km diorite trend

· Improve understanding of structural controls on mineralisation

· Target zones of strongest alteration and sulphide mineralisation

Operational progress has remained on track, with exploration teams successfully establishing drill pads, water bores, accommodation facilities and supporting infrastructure required for the programme. Samples are being dispatched to Perth for laboratory analysis on an ongoing basis, with the first assay results expected before the end of July.

The company has also achieved progress on project infrastructure planning. A heritage survey covering a proposed new access road linking Red Setter to the nearby Nifty Mine and airport has now been completed. The survey supports the planned road development and has also approved the relocation of the project’s support camp closer to Red Setter, subject to final permitting.

Chairman Richard Poulden said drilling activities have progressed as expected and the company remains on track to complete the full 9,000-metre programme.

Management believes the results from this campaign will play a key role in defining the geometry and extent of mineralisation across the project, helping shape future drilling programmes later in 2026.

With drilling underway across a large gold-copper system in one of Australia’s most active mining regions, investors will be closely watching for the first assay results, which could provide important insights into the scale and potential of the Red Setter project.
