Fulcrum Metals Sees Increased Investor Support as Ian Bagnall Raises Stake

Fulcrum Metals Plc (AIM: FMET) has reported that investor Ian Bagnall has increased his shareholding in the company, taking his total voting rights above a key disclosure threshold.

According to a regulatory notification, Mr Bagnall now controls 7,182,795 ordinary shares, representing 4.69% of the company’s issued share capital. This compares with a previous holding of 3.79%, marking a notable increase in his investment.

The threshold crossing occurred on 9 June 2026 and was formally notified to the company on 10 June 2026.

The filing confirms that Mr Bagnall holds the shares directly and is not controlled by, or acting on behalf of, any other entity.

Director and major shareholder purchases are often closely watched by investors as indicators of confidence in a company’s prospects, particularly during periods of operational progress.

The increase in Mr Bagnall’s stake comes as Fulcrum continues to advance its mine waste recovery strategy in Ontario, where the company recently announced the deployment of a pilot plant using Extrakt’s cyanide-free metal recovery technology. The pilot programme is designed to support the commercialisation of the Teck-Hughes project and potentially unlock broader opportunities across historic mine waste sites in the Timmins and Kirkland Lake districts.

With Fulcrum moving from laboratory testing towards pilot-scale operations, the increase in ownership by a significant shareholder may be viewed as a positive signal of support for the company’s long-term strategy and growth potential.
