NatWest has confirmed it is closing 43 bank branches across the UK

In the most recent move, it has moved its banking services online.

There are several branches closing in Scotland, including those in Edinburgh, Glasgow, and Aberdeen.

The UK’s second-largest lender claimed that most of its retail banking services could be done digitally, and it is faster and easier to bank.

Six jobs will not be lost as part of these closures. This means that most branch employees will be offered the chance to move to another branch or part of the company.

NatWest stated that it would contact vulnerable customers to offer support after the announcement.

Although some customers may be concerned about the closing of their local branch due to inability or discomfort with online banking, it was clear that “no one is left behind”.
