Genel Energy has announced this morning that Chevron Sarta, as the operator of the Sarta field has signed a contract with Oilserv for the construction, installation, operation and maintenance of a 2o,000 bopd central processing facility.
Commissioning of the CPF and production start-up remains on track for the middle of 2020 with further expansion based on production behaviour and a subsequent drilling campaign.
Phase 1A of the development represents a low-cost pilot development of the Mus-Adaiyah reservoirs designed to recover 2P gross reserves of 34 MMbbls and distributed locally. This is more good news from Genel and analysts expect to get more detail on the upcoming visit to the operations.
Columbus & Predator
Columbus Energy, CERP has updated the market with regard to its work with Predator on the CO2 pilot project on the Innis-Trinity IPSC. Workover operations have now been successfully completed to survey downhole the AT-4 and AT-13 wells in preparation for future CO2 injection and enhanced oil production.
Predator Oil & Gas has confirmed to Columbus that based on the AT-13 survey results the Herrera #2 Sand has been selected as being accessible for CO2 enhanced recovery operations. This is a significant step, particularly for Predator as they forge forward on the project but also for CERP who may use any proceeds from a sale, should this happen to add to their SW Penisula programme.
