Zak Mir speaks with Andrea Cattaneo, chief executive of Zenith Energy Ltd (LON: ZEN), following the international energy production and development company’s latest update on its application to have the ICC-2 arbitration award annulled.
The arbitration is seated in Geneva, with the annulment application currently before the Swiss Federal Supreme Court in Lausanne.
Zenith said its subsidiary, CNAOG, has obtained material which it believes constitutes compelling new evidence in support of the annulment application.
According to CNAOG, the material provides evidence of a previously undisclosed and irregular relationship between the lawyers representing the Republic of Tunisia, Boussayene Knani Law Firm, and the president of the ICC-2 Arbitral Tribunal, Cecilia Carrara.
In the interview, Cattaneo discusses the significance of the new material, the potential implications for the annulment process and the company’s next steps.
