Arkle Resources Confirms Uranium Discovery at Erongo ULG Target

Arkle Resources PLC (LON: ARK) has confirmed a uranium discovery from maiden reverse-circulation drilling at its ULG target within the Erongo Uranium Project in Namibia.

Eight of the nine reconnaissance holes intersected uranium mineralisation above 100 parts per million U₃O₈, spread across an area measuring 1.4 kilometres by 600 metres and broadly matching the mineralised footprint mapped at surface.

The standout hole was R069, which remained mineralised from surface to the end of the hole and included 41 metres at 141 ppm U₃O₈ from 59 metres.

Within that wider interval, Arkle identified higher-grade sheets including 4 metres at 240 ppm U₃O₈ from 64 metres and 2 metres at 247 ppm from 87 metres.

Other significant intersections included 18 metres at 123 ppm U₃O₈ from 79 metres in R064 and 10 metres at 123 ppm from 135 metres in R066.

Individual one-metre intervals reached as high as 421 ppm U₃O₈, while 16 one-metre samples across five holes exceeded 200 ppm.

Importantly, holes R068, R069 and R070 all ended in mineralisation, suggesting the system remains open at depth.

R070 finished with 3 metres at 133 ppm U₃O₈ from 97 metres, while R063 encountered mineralisation close to 200 metres downhole.

Arkle said the results demonstrate the presence of a primary uraniferous leucogranite system, one of the principal uranium deposit styles found in Namibia’s Erongo region.

Combined with the company’s recently reported paleochannel results, Arkle has now encountered both surficial calcrete and primary leucogranite uranium mineralisation across its licence package.

Management highlighted similarities in grade with established regional uranium resources, including Etango, Norasa and Omahola. However, those comparisons provide geological context rather than demonstrating that Arkle’s discovery currently has equivalent scale, continuity or economics.

The ULG target does not yet have a Mineral Resource Estimate.

Arkle is planning a fully funded follow-up drilling campaign for November, subject to contractor availability, designed to test the mineralised system deeper, at closer spacing and beyond the current footprint.

Particular attention will be given to establishing whether the higher-grade sheets above 200 ppm U₃O₈ are continuous along strike and at depth.

Diamond drilling is also being considered to better define the architecture of the stacked leucogranite sheets.

Chairman John Teeling said Arkle’s objective is to advance the discovery towards a maiden Mineral Resource Estimate during 2027.

The company has also identified at least four additional ULG targets across its Erongo licences that will undergo mapping, sampling and trenching.

For investors, the significant result is that maiden drilling has confirmed widespread uranium mineralisation across the surface-defined target, with three holes still mineralised at their final depth.

The next value-defining step is demonstrating continuity, thickness and grade through systematic follow-up drilling, before Arkle can establish the scale of the system through a maiden resource estimate.
