Kodal Minerals plc has clarified that a reported increase in resources at its Bougouni Lithium Project remains unverified and preliminary.
The update follows a 2025 performance report from partner Hainan Mining Co. Ltd, which suggested an additional 15.47 million tonnes of spodumene resources. Hainan holds a 51% stake in the joint venture, with Kodal owning 49%.
Kodal emphasised that the figure is based on an internal estimate using 2025 drill data, and has not yet been independently audited or confirmed as JORC-compliant.
While earlier drilling at the Boumou prospect pointed to potential resource growth, the company said geological interpretation is still ongoing, and a formal resource upgrade cannot be declared until independent validation is completed.
Any confirmed increase in the mineral resource estimate will be announced via RNS, though no update is expected in the near term.
