Tertiary Minerals identifies higher-grade copper-silver zone

Tertiary Minerals plc (AIM: TYM) has completed its Phase 4 drilling programme at the Mushima North Project in Zambia, with preliminary results supporting the existing near-surface Exploration Target and providing further evidence of a higher-grade silver-copper zone.

A total of 3,639 metres across 39 RC holes was completed at Target A1.

Key preliminary pXRF intersections include 15m at 0.53% copper from 100m, including 7m at 0.77% copper, alongside 8m at 0.62% copper and 4m at 0.68% copper.

Broader mineralised intersections included 65m at 0.23% copper from 19m and 83m at 0.16% copper from 19m, supporting the company’s existing Exploration Target of 15-30Mt grading 40-60 g/t silver equivalent.

While pXRF analysis is considered less reliable for silver, individual readings have reached 408 g/t silver within the higher-grade zone and up to 135 g/t across the wider exploration target.

Samples are now undergoing certified laboratory analysis, with results expected in the coming weeks. Initial metallurgical testing and Mineral Resource modelling will follow, with Tertiary targeting a JORC Mineral Resource Estimate before the end of 2026.

Managing Director Richard Belcher said the drilling continued to support the extent of mineralisation while strengthening evidence for the higher-grade silver and copper zone.

With mineralisation remaining open to the northwest, southwest and at depth, upcoming laboratory assays will be important in determining the potential scale and grade of the Mushima North discovery.
