Premier African Minerals Limited, also known as Premier, has provided another update on the progress of the Zulu Lithium and Tantalum Project.
According to George Roach, the CEO of Premier, the plant components have been commissioned, and work is underway to optimize the plant and process control procedures to achieve nameplate throughput.
The plant has successfully floated Mica/Lepidolite rich concentrates and Spodumene, and open pit mining operations are ongoing. The pit expansion has revealed less weathered ore than initially expected, which is in line with the predicted internal geological mining model, adding confidence to future operating guidance.
As previously announced on March 29, 2023, cashflow is currently constrained at Zulu, but Premier expects this to be a short-term issue.
They plan to implement appropriate financing measures to address this, leading up to the first revenues from the sale of concentrates in the coming weeks. Further updates will be provided shortly.
A video showcasing the floatation in the wet circuit of the Zulu plant has also been released.
