Oracle Power (AIM: ORCP) said it is making further progress towards mining at its Northern Zone Gold Project, part of the wider Kalgoorlie Gold Project in Western Australia.
The project is located 25 kilometres east of Kalgoorlie and sits within mining lease M25/389, which was recently granted.
The company said applications for the site clearance permit and Native Vegetation Clearing Permit are due to be submitted this month.
Key inputs for the permit applications are nearing completion, including the final fauna report and integrated flora and vegetation report.
Oracle is also progressing the Mine Development and Closure Proposal, which will be required before mining operations can begin.
The heritage work area clearance survey has been completed, with the final report now being prepared.
Hydrogeology work is also nearing completion, pending a flood model to determine the topographic boundary for topsoil placement.
Laboratory results for geotechnical, geological and soil testing have been received, with analysis and reporting now in progress.
Chief executive Naheed Memon said the team has been working in parallel with the recent grant of M25/389 to prepare the inputs required for the NVCP and MDCP submissions.
She said the work is progressing well and that Oracle is moving closer to “turning dirt” at Northern Zone.
The start of mining remains subject to submission and approval of the required permits and mine development documentation.
