Nuformix plc (LON: NFX) has appointed Tim Metcalfe as Non-Executive Chairman, with the role taking effect from 1 September 2026.
Metcalfe will replace Dr Julian Gilbert, who is stepping down from the board on 31 August for personal reasons. Gilbert will remain involved with Nuformix in a consultancy capacity, providing continuity and ongoing access to his sector experience.
Metcalfe brings more than 30 years of corporate finance and capital markets experience, having held senior roles at Robert Fleming, Rothschild, Westhouse Securities, Northland Capital Partners and Zeus Capital.
He later co-founded IFC Advisory, where he serves as Managing Director, and has extensive experience advising companies on strategy, mergers and acquisitions, fundraising, capital markets and regulatory matters.
Metcalfe is also Senior Independent Non-Executive Director of The Investment Company plc and Non-Executive Chairman of Equipmake Holdings plc.
His appointment comes as Nuformix continues to advance its NXP002 programme, including ongoing discussions with prospective development and licensing partners.
Metcalfe said his focus would be on creating shareholder value through NXP002, partnering discussions and evaluating broader strategic opportunities.
