Kendrick Resources Reports Further High-Grade REE Drill Results at Teufelskuppe

Kendrick Resources (LON: KEN) reported further encouraging portable X-ray fluorescence results from diamond drilling at the Teufelskuppe rare earth project.

The latest results cover drill holes TKDD007 to TKDD010 and confirm further high-grade rare earth element mineralisation across substantial downhole widths within the Teufelskuppe carbonatite complex.

The company said the programme continues to identify broad zones of continuous, near-surface mineralisation.

Light rare earth oxide grades are typically ranging from 2.5% to 3.5% LREO across extensive areas associated with the eight dykes and sills that make up the complex.

Drill hole TKDD010 returned several strong intercepts, including 26 metres at 2.50% LREO from 70 metres and 15 metres at 3.15% LREO from 101 metres.

The same hole also returned 4 metres at 3.50% LREO from 14.5 metres, 5 metres at 3.45% LREO from 32.25 metres and 7.25 metres at 2.65% LREO from 44.75 metres.

Drill hole TKDD0091 returned 17 metres at 3.25% LREO from 27.75 metres, including 9.5 metres at 4.04% LREO from 35.25 metres.

A second sub-parallel intercept from the redrilled section returned 15.25 metres at 2.39% LREO from 29.75 metres, including 2 metres at 3.31% LREO and 3.75 metres at 3.05% LREO.

Drill hole TKDD007 returned a broad near-surface intercept of 32.75 metres at 1.52% LREO from surface.

Drill hole TKDD008 returned 1.75 metres at 1.60% LREO from 3.0 metres and 1.5 metres at 2.02% LREO from 10.25 metres.

Chairman Colin Bird said continuity of mineralisation over impressive widths and strong grades remains a key feature of the Teufelskuppe carbonatite complex.

He said Kendrick will continue drilling with three rigs as it works to generate sufficient data for a mineral resource estimate in the shortest possible timeframe.

The company said the use of reverse circulation drilling is helping define the width and extent of individual sills and dykes, allowing the two diamond drill rigs to be positioned more precisely.

Portable XRF results are preliminary in nature and normally require confirmation by laboratory assay, while reported widths are downhole widths unless otherwise stated.
