Kendrick Resources Plc (LON: KEN) has reported strong portable X-ray fluorescence channel sampling results from five carbonatite bodies at its Teufelskuppe rare earth project.
The results confirmed extensive and continuous light rare earth oxide mineralisation across all five sampled bodies.
The strongest headline result came from channel TKCH004, which returned 2.94% LREO over 53.5 metres.
Other significant continuous intervals included 1.42% LREO over 197 metres at TKCH002, 1.91% over 84.5 metres at TKCH003, 1.80% over 64 metres at TKCH001 and 1.31% over 140 metres at TKCH005.
Higher-grade internal sections included 3.20% LREO over 32.5 metres, 3.20% over 6.5 metres, 2.95% over 5.5 metres, 2.64% over 9.5 metres and 2.26% over 15 metres.
Kendrick said the results reinforce the scale, continuity and grade potential of Teufelskuppe ahead of an initial Mineral Resource Estimate.
Channel sampling and drilling data will contribute to the resource estimate, alongside approximately 14 million tonnes of above-ground exposed mineralised carbonatite recently delineated through a Digital Elevation Model survey.
The company also confirmed that a third drill rig, a reverse circulation rig, has arrived on site and commenced drilling.
Chairman Colin Bird said the consistency of grade and mineralisation was particularly encouraging and could support more straightforward mine and processing design.
He added that ongoing petrological and mineralogical test work will help inform future flowsheet development.
Kendrick believes that confirmation of scale, grade and a viable metallurgical process could position Teufelskuppe among the leading undeveloped rare earth projects globally.
The reported channel results are based on portable XRF readings and should not be regarded as laboratory assay results until formally validated.
