Helix Exploration (AIM: HEX, OTCQB: HEXFF) has provided an operational update confirming continuous helium sales from its Rudyard facility in Montana and ongoing revenue generation from tolling operations at the recently acquired Keyes Helium Complex in Oklahoma.
Following the start of commercial production in July, Rudyard has moved into a continuous trailer rotation, with the company now filling a combination of customer-owned and leased jumbo tube trailers to maintain uninterrupted helium deliveries.
Helix said the second trailer has already been filled and dispatched, with another arriving immediately for loading, while all wells connected to the pipeline system are operating under high pressure. The company expects to provide a further field development update soon as it awaits approval for additional wells from the Montana Board of Oil and Gas.
At the Keyes Helium Complex, acquired in mid-July, helium is now being processed through the liquefaction facility under tolling agreements, generating revenue through weekly tube trailer filling operations.
Helix said the facility can process helium from its own production, third-party suppliers, tube trailers and crude helium sourced from the former US Bureau of Land Management reserve, providing significant operational flexibility.
The company noted that ownership of one of only six operational helium liquefaction facilities in the United States positions it to benefit from tightening helium supplies as legacy production declines.
Chief executive Bo Sears said Rudyard’s move to continuous production marks Helix’s transition into a revenue-generating helium producer and processor, with income now coming from operations in both Montana and Oklahoma.
He added that the combination of helium reserves, producing wells, owned drilling equipment and liquefaction infrastructure gives Helix a uniquely integrated position within the US helium market.
