Hamak Strategy Reports High-Grade Gold Intercepts at Akoko Project in Ghana

Hamak Strategy Limited (LON: HAMA) has reported further encouraging drilling results from its Akoko oxide gold project in southwest Ghana, including a standout high-grade intercept that continues to demonstrate the potential of the near-surface gold system.

New assay results from four reverse circulation (RC) drill holes have returned significant oxide gold mineralisation, highlighted by an intersection of 3.42 grams per tonne (g/t) gold over 23 metres from a depth of just 15 metres at the Akoko North prospect.

Within the broader mineralised interval, the company recorded higher-grade sections of 24.01g/t gold over 1 metre from 20 metres depth and 6.30g/t gold over 2 metres from 33 metres depth.

Management noted that the latest drilling has also confirmed that gold mineralisation extends further east than previously recognised, potentially increasing the overall scale of the mineralised system.

To date, Hamak has completed 39 RC drill holes for a total of 2,280 metres at Akoko North, where drilling has now concluded. The drill rig is currently being mobilised to the Akoko South prospect, where a further 36 holes covering approximately 1,940 metres are planned, subject to weather conditions.

Chief Executive Karl Smithson said the latest results continue to demonstrate the presence of high-grade, near-surface gold mineralisation and highlighted the importance of hole 2026-043 in extending the known mineralised footprint.

The company is combining resource confirmation drilling with condemnation drilling as it advances its understanding of the project and works towards defining the broader economic potential of the Akoko gold system.

For investors, the significance of the latest results lies not only in the grade of the mineralisation encountered but also in the continued expansion of the known gold-bearing zone. Near-surface oxide mineralisation can often offer favourable development economics, while the extension of mineralisation beyond previously defined boundaries may provide scope for future resource growth.

Further assay results are expected as drilling progresses at Akoko South, with management continuing to evaluate the wider exploration potential across the project area.
