Genflow Biosciences plc (LON: GENF) has been invited to present results from its SLAB (Sarcopenia and Longevity in Aged Beagles) study at the Animal Longevity Summit 2026, a specialist conference focused on extending healthy lifespan in companion animals.
The event, which takes place in Toronto on 1-2 October 2026, is expected to bring together leading scientists, biotechnology companies, veterinarians and investors working in the rapidly emerging longevity sector.
The presentation will showcase data from Genflow’s proprietary SIRT6 centenarian gene therapy programme, which is designed to target fundamental biological mechanisms associated with ageing and age-related decline. Management believes the dataset will represent one of the most comprehensive collections of veterinary longevity data generated by the company to date.
The SLAB study is evaluating the safety and biological activity of Genflow’s gene therapy in aged beagles and forms an important component of the company’s strategy to validate its longevity platform in real-world ageing models. The trial commenced in March 2025 and is scheduled to conclude in June 2026.
Genflow’s approach is based on a centenarian variant of the SIRT6 gene, which has demonstrated encouraging preclinical results. The company hopes that successful outcomes in veterinary applications could support the broader development of therapies aimed at treating age-related diseases in humans.
The Animal Longevity Summit is expected to feature several prominent figures in ageing research, including Dr Matt Kaeberlein, Dr Vera Gorbunova, Dr Aubrey de Grey, Liz Parrish, Dr Noah Davidsohn and Dr Varun Dwaraka.
Chief Executive Dr Eric Leire said the invitation reflects growing interest in the company’s research and provides an opportunity to present findings to a global audience of researchers, industry participants and investors focused on healthy ageing.
For investors, the presentation represents a potential catalyst as Genflow moves closer to reporting full results from its canine proof-of-concept study. Positive data could provide further validation for the company’s SIRT6 platform and strengthen the scientific case for advancing its broader pipeline of age-related disease programmes.
Beyond longevity applications, Genflow is also pursuing development opportunities for its lead candidate GF-1002 in metabolic dysfunction-associated steatohepatitis (MASH), a major chronic liver disease with significant unmet medical need.
