ECR Launches Major Tuckanarra Gold Reconnaissance Programme

ECR Minerals PLC has launched a large-scale, multi-phase reconnaissance and target-generation programme across its 80%-owned Tuckanarra Gold Project in Western Australia.

The campaign will be carried out in collaboration with the Australian Prospectors and Leaseholders Association, with the first phase expected to begin later in August 2026 at no additional direct cost to ECR.

Around eight experienced field personnel will initially undertake two weeks of systematic reconnaissance, following up several previously identified priority areas. These include a location near a historic mine shaft where more than 100 small gold nuggets have reportedly been recovered.

A much larger second phase is planned for March 2027, when up to 80 field personnel are expected to conduct a further two-week programme across the project.

The work will include geological mapping, recording of historic mine workings and mineralised outcrops, GPS logging of significant features, reconnaissance sampling, detector surveys and the identification of new targets for follow-up exploration.

ECR said the programme should significantly improve its geological understanding of Tuckanarra and help prioritise future geophysical surveys, trenching and drilling.

The project lies next to Odyssey Gold’s reported 407,000-ounce JORC gold resource and is considered prospective for both primary gold mineralisation and buried paleochannel-hosted deposits.

The campaign will complement ECR’s existing mapping and Deep Ground Penetrating Radar work, with the resulting field data to be integrated into the company’s wider exploration models.

Chairman Nick Tulloch said Tuckanarra was one of the most prospective assets in ECR’s Australian portfolio and described the programme as a capital-efficient way to accelerate target generation while preserving funds for higher-value follow-up work.
