Australian Gold and Copper Ltd (ASX: AGC) has reported further encouraging drilling results from the Achilles deposit at its Cargelligo Gold Project in New South Wales, confirming that the mineral system extends more than 200 metres below the current resource.
Step-out drilling has now extended the Achilles system to more than 400 metres down-dip, based on results from four completed drill holes.
The programme targeted extensions to the northern high-grade zone beneath the existing Achilles resource estimate.

Notable intercepts included 14 metres grading 85 grams per tonne silver equivalent from 388 metres in drill hole A3DD015, including 4 metres at 181 grams per tonne silver equivalent and 1 metre at 400 grams per tonne silver equivalent.
A further intercept from hole ASDD013 returned 9.7 metres at 56 grams per tonne silver equivalent from 434 metres, including 2 metres at 80 grams per tonne silver equivalent and 0.7 metres at 138 grams per tonne silver equivalent.
Assays remain pending for holes ASDD014 and ASDD016.
Managing director Glen Diemar said the results supported the company’s 2026 objective of increasing contained ounces at Achilles through extensions to the initial resource.
“These new results demonstrate that the Achilles mineral system remains open and fertile at depth, with mineralisation now confirmed beyond 400 metres down dip,” Diemar said.
He added that the pending assays from two further deep holes would provide additional information on the scale potential of the system.
Australian Gold and Copper said drilling continues at Evergreen, where the company is working towards an initial resource estimate at the Browns Reef–Evergreen precious and base metals deposit. Further assay results are expected over the coming weeks.

The company is also planning a shallow reverse circulation drilling campaign at Achilles, targeting extensions to strong oxide gold-silver mineralisation identified last year.
Elsewhere, results from aircore drilling at Tooronga are being interpreted alongside bottom-of-hole samples, while field activities have begun at the Junee Gold Project. Australian Gold and Copper is also integrating the historical database at Junee, with drill targeting being advanced across several priority prospects.
Australian Gold and Copper is a silver, gold and copper explorer focused on advancing projects in the central Lachlan Fold Belt of New South Wales.
