Arkle Notes High-Grade Zinc-Lead Discovery at Stonepark

Arkle Resources PLC (LON: ARK) noted an announcement from Group Eleven Resources reporting a new zone of zinc-lead mineralisation at the Stonepark project in County Limerick, Ireland.

Arkle holds an estimated 21.38% interest in Stonepark, which is operated by Group Eleven.

The new discovery was made in a step-out hole drilled 550 metres from the closest edge of the existing Stonepark Mineral Resource Estimate, in previously untested ground.

Hole 26-2638-07 intersected 2.8 metres at 8.3% zinc plus lead, comprising 5.5% zinc and 2.9% lead.

This included 1.0 metre at 21.7% zinc plus lead, comprising 13.8% zinc and 7.9% lead, with 4 g/t silver.

The intersection sits within a broader 6.3-metre zone grading 4.1% zinc plus lead and a wider mineralised interval of 14.7 metres grading 2.0% zinc plus lead from 461 metres downhole.

Group Eleven described the result as the most significant progress at Stonepark since it acquired the licence block in 2017.

The company also said it was the most mineralised of seven step-out holes drilled near the resource during that period.

Arkle said the result, together with a nearby historic mineralised hole around 150 metres away, significantly improves the potential for resource growth in the area.

The hole was extended to 894 metres to test for deeper copper-silver mineralisation below the Waulsortian Limestone, with assays still pending.

Two further holes are planned as part of the current 2,700-metre Stonepark drill programme.

Subject to Group Eleven board approval, follow-up drilling in the new zone could form part of a larger campaign of around 12,800 metres, expected to begin in late 2026 or early 2027.

Chief executive Rory Harding said the discovery underlines the strategic value of Arkle’s Stonepark interest, giving shareholders exposure to a major zinc-lead drilling campaign alongside the company’s uranium and lithium projects in Africa.
