Amaroq Ltd (LSE and NASDAQ Iceland: AMRQ, OTCQX: AMRQF) has commenced a focused scout diamond drilling programme at its Minturn iron-copper-gold prospect in Northwest Greenland, providing the first direct test of the mineralised system at depth.
The programme follows successful surface exploration in 2025, which returned iron grades of up to 69.5% Fe, including several samples grading between 66% and 69% Fe.
Drilling will test the continuity and geometry of the high-grade magnetite-rich iron mineralisation below surface, while also assessing the potential for associated copper-gold mineralisation linked to a parallel electromagnetic and geochemical anomaly.
Minturn is centred on what Amaroq believes is Greenland’s strongest regional magnetic anomaly, with reprocessed geophysical data defining a coherent target extending for approximately 9 kilometres within a broader 80-kilometre mineralised corridor.

The prospect is interpreted as a potentially large iron oxide copper gold (IOCG) or Kiruna-style mineral system.
Given the logistical challenges of operating in remote Northwest Greenland, Amaroq has streamlined the 2026 programme by deferring planned ground geophysical surveys and prioritising direct drill testing.
Vice President of Exploration James Gilbertson described Minturn as an exceptional and previously untested target, adding that the scout drilling should provide critical information on the scale and geometry of the subsurface system and help design future exploration with greater confidence.
The results will be combined with historic airborne geophysical data and the 2025 surface sampling programme to refine the geological model and determine the scope of future geophysics and follow-up drilling.
Minturn is located in Inglefield Land, approximately 220 kilometres north of the US Pituffik Space Base, and is held through Amaroq’s strategic joint venture company Gardaq A/S.
