Alumasc Group (LON: ALU) has suspended chief executive Pamela Bingham pending an investigation into matters relating to her professional conduct.
The sustainable building products, systems and solutions group said it is undertaking a full investigation, supported by professional advisers.
While the process is ongoing, non-executive chair Vijay Thakrar will temporarily assume the executive chair’s role and responsibilities.
Alumasc said Thakrar will be supported by the group’s established management teams, including divisional managing directors and the chief financial officer.
The company noted that these senior managers have around 35 years of combined tenure at Alumasc, providing leadership continuity during the investigation.
The announcement comes alongside a trading update in which Alumasc said it continues to deliver a resilient performance despite a challenging market backdrop.
The group added that it enters the new financial year with a significantly expanded order book.
Further updates will be made to shareholders in due course.
