Zephyr Energy (AIM:ZPHR) to Commence Drilling Final Section of the State 36-2R well at Paradox Basin

Zephyr Energy PLC (AIM: ZPHR, OTCQB: ZPHRF), an oil and gas company, announced that drilling on the final section of its State 36-2R well will soon begin at its Paradox Basin project in Utah.

This follows the completion of an 8 ½ inch section that reached a depth of 10,084 feet, after which a 7-inch casing string was set and cemented.

Drilling in the final section is set to commence shortly, with the goal of safely landing the well within the Cane Creek reservoir and completing the last 320 feet of drilling.

Approximately 270 feet of this final section will be drilled horizontally within the reservoir, aiming to intersect the productive natural fracture system identified in the original well.

Once this is completed, Zephyr will demobilize the drilling rig and prepare the well for production testing.

Colin Harrington, Zephyr’s chief executive, stated, “I am pleased to report that drilling operations on the State 36-2R well continue safely and with precision.

“Over the next few days, we plan to intersect Cane Creek and target the same natural fracture network identified by the original well.”
