Looking back at news from London’s junior miners this week.

Bushveld Minerals Ltd (LON:BMN), the vanadium producer, has provided a maiden mineral resource estimate for the Brits project in South Africa.

The aggregate inferred and indicated mineral resource distributed across the lower, intermediate and upper seams is reported as 66.8mln tonnes at an average grade of 1.58% vanadium pentoxide, among the highest in the world.

European Metals Holdings Ltd (LON:ASX:EMH) shares jumped higher on Monday after the firm said it has updated the process flowsheet previously developed to enable the production of lithium hydroxide (LiOH.H2O) from the Cinovec project in the Czech Republic.

This work has been completed in conjunction with test-work confirming the production of battery grade lithium hydroxide from Cinovec ore.

On Tuesday, Chaarat Gold Holdings Ltd (LON:CGH) shares rose following news the firm has received assays for the first tranche of the recent drilling programme conducted on its Tulkubash gold project in Kyrgyzstan.

Over 3,800 metres of drilling was completed, with a minimum of 20,000 metres scheduled to be completed in 2019, with 15.5 metres true width grading 2.2 grams per tonne gold.

Some of these are in areas of known mineralisation, said the miner, while others are in completely unexplored territory.

A day later, Anglo Asian stated its confidence in its guidance for up to 86,000 of gold equivalent ounces this year.

BAM’s existing resource extends over 1.7km within a 3.1km strike length and the in-fill drilling will take place along the outstanding 1.4km in order to bring that section up to a defined resource level.
