# URU Metals outlines 3,850-metre drilling programme at Zeb Nickel

[URU Metals Limited (AIM: URU)](https://www.investegate.co.uk/announcement/rns/uru-metals-ltd-di---uru/uru-releases-new-corporate-video-/9854663) has released a new corporate video showcasing the exploration potential of its flagship Zeb Nickel Project in South Africa, as the company advances plans for a 3,850-metre diamond drilling programme targeting nickel sulphide mineralisation.

The video gives investors an overview of the project’s geological characteristics, previous exploration results, and the company’s strategy for investigating potentially larger nickel sulphide deposits in Limpopo Province.

**The planned drilling programme comprises eight diamond drill holes totalling approximately 3,850 metres**, targeting priority areas identified through geological interpretation and modelling.

The programme builds on historical exploration results that confirmed the presence of nickel sulphide mineralisation at Zeb Nickel.

**Previous drilling returned an intersection of 2.25 metres grading 1.67% nickel**, providing a basis for further investigation of the mineralised system.

URU intends to use the new drilling programme to establish a clearer understanding of the geometry, extent and continuity of the nickel-bearing formations.

The company also aims to assess whether the known mineralisation forms part of a larger sulphide system, which could support future resource development.

**A key objective is to generate the geological information required to progress Zeb Nickel towards a maiden Mineral Resource Estimate**, although further drilling, analysis and technical assessment will be needed before a resource can be established.

Nickel is an important industrial metal used in stainless steel production, specialist alloys and certain electric vehicle battery technologies, supporting interest in potential new sources of supply.

**Chief Executive John Zorbas** said the new video would help shareholders and prospective investors better understand the project’s exploration potential and the rationale behind the company’s drilling strategy.

He highlighted the historical confirmation of nickel sulphide mineralisation and the geological work undertaken to identify priority drilling targets.

Zorbas said the **3,850-metre programme represents an important phase in URU’s exploration strategy**, with the focus on determining the scale and continuity of mineralisation.

**The company believes systematic drilling and geological modelling will be central to evaluating Zeb Nickel’s longer-term potential**, particularly as it works towards establishing a resource estimate.

However, the historical nickel intersection does not establish the overall grade or commercial viability of the wider deposit, and the latest programme has yet to deliver new assay results.
