Prior to the conflict, Russia supplied slightly more than half of Germany’s gas consumption.\n\nGraham Stuart, the Net Zero Minister, informed the assembly of oil and gas leaders that there won’t be a resurgence in reliance on Moscow’s gas.\n\nA legislative report from 2021 indicated that Russia was the source of a mere 4% of the UK’s gas and 9% of its oil consumption."}
