Trump’s Bitcoin-themed sneakers are already listed on eBay for $2,500.

Listings for pairs of Donald Trump’s limited-edition orange Bitcoin-themed sneakers have already appeared on eBay, with sellers hoping to sell their spots in the pre-order queue for as much as $2,500.

As of now, there are 12 listings on eBay for the orange-coloured Bitcoin high-tops. Prices start as low as $700 in a live auction but can go up to $2,500 with an “or best offer” option. One listing even humorously set a price of $69,999.

Most listings assure buyers that the sneakers will be shipped once the sellers receive them, expected between September and November. While most sellers have high ratings, some have been accused of being “scams” in buyer feedback.

Trump’s Bitcoin-themed footwear went live for pre-order on the official Trump Sneakers website on July 31, with a limited edition run of 1,000 orange high-top shoes. They sold out within three hours.

Interestingly, the website mentioned that five pairs of the limited edition shoes would be randomly signed by Trump, giving sneaker enthusiasts a 1 in 200 chance of receiving a signed pair.

Two other variations of the sneakers have yet to appear on eBay. They are still available on the Trump Sneakers website, despite each having a limited run of 1,000 pairs. The orange low-tops and black high-tops are up for pre-order at $299, with a few also being autographed.

Beyond the crypto-themed footwear, the Trump team is selling a wide range of other Trump-themed items, including perfume, a “Freedom” cooler listed for $299, and other shoes adorned with various Trump-affiliated catchphrases and American flag decals.

This move to create a lineup of crypto-themed merchandise follows Trump’s sudden change of heart on cryptocurrency earlier in 2024. Since then, he has made pro-crypto policies a cornerstone of his reelection campaign.

The shoes went on sale just days after the Bitcoin 2024 conference in Nashville, Tennessee, on July 25. At the conference, Trump pledged to create a “strategic national Bitcoin stockpile,” promising that if reelected, the US government would never sell any of the $12 billion in confiscated Bitcoin it holds in reserve.
