There was a degree of intrigue at crypto miner Argo Blockchain (ARB). On November 4, 2021, representatives of Argo held a meeting with Anthony Coyle. During the meeting, they inadvertently disclosed certain information that could be viewed as material. Mr. Coyle subsequently wrote on Twitter that Argo claimed a 25% uplift in hash-rate resulting from the use of immersion cooling technology. Argo said it does not have sufficient data to make such a claim, and did not claim this – something which rather suggests that the alleged inside information was not really “inside.”

There could be fun ahead as far as Vast Resources (VAST), the AIM-listed mining company, as it said it “is pleased to provide the market with answers to a number of questions submitted by shareholders during recent weeks.” The answers to these questions are intended to provide further clarity over and above the information issued in the recent annual report and announcement of 25 October 2021 regarding the Company Update. The Board and management said it should be note that some questions have been omitted “due to regulatory or commercial sensitivity restrictions.” Presumably, questions regarding the share price will escape this filter.
