Thousands of UK Customers Unable to Access HSBC Mobile Banking App

HSBC UK is actively addressing the issue as many customers face difficulties in using banking services on Black Friday.

The bank has expressed regret and is diligently working to reinstate its mobile and online banking services, including approval of online card transactions through the app.

A statement released by the bank on X, previously known as Twitter, mentioned: “We recognize that some customers are currently experiencing difficulties in accessing our banking services.

“We are treating this with high priority and promise to provide updates as soon as we can.”

A recent update further stated: “Our team is making concerted efforts to bring back the Mobile and Online Banking services, as well as enabling the authorization of online card purchases through the app.

“We apologize for any inconvenience caused.”

Over 4,000 service disruptions have been logged on the outage monitoring site Downdetector this morning.
