Tertiary Minerals plc (AIM: TYM) has reported its highest-grade silver-copper intersection to date from the Discovery Zone at the Mushima North Project in Zambia, with new drilling also extending mineralisation beyond the current Exploration Target boundary.
Hole 26TMNRC-066 returned 82m at 107g/t silver equivalent from just 8m depth, including 37m at 191g/t silver equivalent from 53m. The hole ended in mineralisation, indicating the system remains open at depth.
Further drilling returned 5m at 1.01% copper, 164g/t silver and 0.15% zinc, equivalent to 227g/t silver, while the programme also delivered a new project-high certified silver assay of 659g/t.
Tertiary said the results strengthen the case for expanding the known mineralised footprint and support its ongoing work towards a JORC-compliant Mineral Resource Estimate. Results from 29 holes have now been released from the Phase 4 programme.
The current Exploration Target stands at 15-30 million tonnes grading 40-60g/t silver equivalent, with mineralisation remaining open to the northwest, southwest and at depth.
Investors should note that the reported widths are downhole intersections and true widths remain unknown, while the silver-equivalent figures assume 100% recovery and are illustrative only. Further certified laboratory results are expected in the coming weeks.
