With so many amazing people doing things for charity Share Talk wanted to get involved, over the years we have supported many charitable events but two, in particular, caught our eye over the last few weeks the first is for the Charity My Time, the charity provides fun activities for young carers aged between 7 and 15 who live in and around Epsom & Ewell and Mole Valley. “I’m an outdoor adventure enthusiast, with a passion for helping and inspiring others to get outside. I’m about to embark on a big challenge – the ULTIMATE Wales expedition, which will see me stand up paddle board, cycle, and hike across the whole of Wales over a period of about 10 days. It’s approximately 430km, beginning in Cardiff, and ending in Holyhead on Anglesey. I’ll be paddling along the Bristol channel, which has the second largest tidal range in the World, conquering 15 mountain peaks over 3000ft, and cycling over 300km!
Over the last 12 months, I have been working on this as a charity fundraising project, with the aim of also promoting the physical and mental health benefits of outdoor adventure, and getting people involved in the outdoors. I’ve held a number of fundraising and awareness-raising events, including introductory paddle boarding sessions, and beach cleanups. I’m aiming to raise as much money as possible for 3 charities which operate in Wales; Keep Wales Tidy, Mind for mental health, and the Search and Rescue Dogs. Wish me luck!”
