Premier African Minerals Ltd (AIM: PREM) stated that there are outstanding matters that need to be addressed in order to fulfil the specified quantity for the inaugural lithium shipment from its Zulu lithium project, scheduled for later this month.

A total of 1,000 metric tons is slated for shipment by November 25, and achieving this goal will depend on resolving the ongoing commissioning and optimization challenges, improving the overall plant performance, and ensuring the delivery of high-quality ore to the plant, the company noted.

Greatland Gold plc (AIM: GGP) announced the completion of its maiden drilling campaign at the Paterson South Project, under the farm-in and joint venture arrangement with Rio Tinto Exploration Pty Ltd (RTX) (see Greatland’s RNS Announcement titled “Farm-in to Rio Tinto’s highly prospective Paterson South tenure” dated 30 May 2023).

Highlights:

  •  Drilling effectively tested the magnetic source of the Stingray and Decka targets, identified as magnetite rich, mafic to intermediate metamorphosed intrusive igneous rocks
  • Peak gold assays of 0.26ppm Au and 0.17ppm Au were returned in single 1m intervals from 305m and 435m respectively in Stingray DD hole BUDJ0004
  • Assay results also show moderately anomalous gold (Au) and copper (Cu) in various narrow intervals, and pathfinder geochemistry including arsenic (As) and bismuth (Bi) and tellurium (Te)

Diamond core (DD) and deep reverse circulation (RC) drilling was successfully completed at the Stingray and Decka targets at the Budjidowns tenement, both located along strike and within 20km of Greatland’s world-class Havieron gold-copper project.

Metals One PLC (AIM: MET1) announced that Gunsynd has reaffirmed its commitment to make the initial payment of £250,000 as part of their Black Schist project farm-in agreement with FinnAust Mining Northern, a subsidiary of Metals One.

Under this agreement, Gunsynd has pledged to subscribe to 25% of FinnAust at a total subscription price of £1,000,000.

Shanta Gold Ltd (AIM: SHG, OTC: SAAGF) celebrated the discovery of visible gold in most of the assay samples obtained during the ongoing drilling activities at its West Kenya project. This marks the first update since drilling operations resumed in May.

Chief executive Eric Zurrin expressed confidence in the drilling results, stating, “We continue to believe that the drilling results at West Kenya demonstrate the potential for this project to evolve into one of Africa’s future high-quality, high-grade gold mines.”

Europa Metals Ltd (AIM: EUZ, JSE: EUZ) highlighted its diligent and highly successful efforts over the past year in enhancing the technical aspects of the Toral project located in Spain. These efforts resulted in both an increase in the size and grade of resources.

With Denarius as their new partner and secured funding, Europa Metals Ltd aims to further reduce project risk in their Toral project in Spain, as outlined in the statement accompanying their annual results for the year ending June 2023.

Leon Coetzer, the CEO of Jubilee Metals Group PLC (AIM: JLP, JSE: JBL, OTC: JUBPF), reported a robust operational performance during the first quarter of the company’s current fiscal year. He affirmed that they are on course to meet their full-year guidance.

During the three months ending in September 2023, the specialist in tailings processing disclosed that they produced 344,000 metric tonnes (t) of chrome concentrate, along with 10,110 ounces of platinum group metals and 934 metric tonnes of copper cathode.

First Class Metals PLC the UK-listed metals exploration company seeking economic metal discoveries across its extensive Canadian Schreiber-Hemlo, Sunbeam and Zigzag land holdings announced an update on the progress on the Zigzag property which is currently focussed on the lithium potential.

Highlights:

·    Final results from the initial thirty-nine samples from the first phase of exploration received with significant number of results over 1% Lithium (Li2O). (see table 1).

·    Grab samples identify a strike of over 350m with >1% Li2O and remains open in both directions.

·    Channels sampling completed in central area of property, results pending from over 80 samples cut from almost 60m of channels over strike of 150m.

·    Prospecting continues on the main trend and subparallel zones.

First Class Metals’ stated aim was to bring four properties to drill ready status with the intention of drilling one property this field season. The Zigzag property is maintaining this intention as it is advanced towards ‘drill ready’.

ECR Minerals PLC (AIM: ECR) reported the discovery of quartz-bearing veins during its exploration activities at the Lolworth Project in North Queensland, Australia. According to the company, the results from mapping a quartz veinlet system within the upper creek drainage of Flaggy Creek indicate the presence of gold. This system comprises multiple narrow veins, spanning a length of 70 meters (m) and occupying a zone of up to 100 meters in width.

Mila Resources PLC (LSE: MILA) expressed optimism about its future, stating that it would find itself in the strongest financial position since its listing in 2021 if shareholders approve the £2 million fundraising initiative scheduled for November 8.

Mark Stephenson, the executive chairman, emphasized, “We have a well-defined strategy and, with the successful capital raise, we will be well-equipped to execute this strategy.”

Great Southern Copper PLC (LSE: GSCU) expanded its concession area within Chile’s Salar de Atacama district through new exploration concession filings, enlarging the Monti Lithium Project to a total of 33,100 hectares (ha).

GSC noted that Salar de Atacama is the largest lithium brine-producing district in Chile, boasting excellent existing infrastructure.

Blencowe Resources PLC (LSE: BRES) witnessed a surge in its stock price due to recent Chinese measures tightening controls over graphite. The company also provided an update highlighting the exceptional quality of its Orom-Cross deposit in Uganda. Following China’s actions, which contributed to a 20% increase in its share price, Blencowe reported that tests conducted in China and the United States confirmed purity grades exceeding 99.96%.

KEFI Gold and Copper PLC (AIM: KEFI, OTC: KFFLF) reaffirmed its timeline to have all three of its projects operational by 2026, starting with Tulu Kapi in Ethiopia in 2025, followed by Jibal Qutman and Hawiah in Saudi Arabia in 2026. KEFI’s CEO, Harry Adams, noted that the mining industry conditions in both countries are improving, leading the company to increase its exploration efforts.

Atlantic Lithium Ltd (AIM: ALL, OTCQX: ALLIF, ASX: A11) released its quarterly activities and cash flow report for the three-month period ending in September, providing updates on developments at the Ewoyaa Lithium Project in Ghana. A significant highlight during this period was the commitment made by partner Piedmont Lithium (ASX: PLL, OTC: PLLTL) to fund the initial US$70 million of the projected US$185 million required for Ewoyaa’s feasibility study.

Asiamet Resources Ltd (AIM: ARS, OTC: KMGLF) announced that it has received the independent technical expert’s (ITE) report concerning the BKM copper project in Central Kalimantan. The company is now preparing to engage in discussions with Indonesian banks regarding potential funding.

Asiamet further noted that the final version of the report has already been submitted to the lead bank within the lending consortium, with the goal of securing initial funding approval by the end of this year.

Technology Minerals PLC (LSE: TM1) informed its investors that it anticipates the completion of its proposed acquisition of the outstanding shares of Recyclus Group during the first quarter. This transaction is categorized as a reverse takeover and will involve Technology Minerals acquiring the remaining 51.65% of Recyclus that it does not currently own.

Blencowe Resources PLC (LSE: BRES) disclosed that separate purity tests conducted in both China and the United States have verified that graphite sourced from its Orom-Cross deposit in Uganda can be upgraded into an ultra-high-grade product. Tests conducted at Wuhan University demonstrated SPG (spheronized purified graphite) values at 99.96 wt%C, while tests carried out by American Energy Technology produced SPG with purity values of 99.99 wt%C.
