The week ahead will be quieter for company results, but several FTSE 350 firms, including Kingfisher, Pets at Home, Auto Trader, Softcat, C&C Group, and Hollywood Bowl, are still set to report.

Monday 26 May

Markets will be quiet to start the week, with a bank holiday in the UK and Memorial Day in the US.

Tuesday 27 May

A mix of corporate updates and key economic indicators are due across major regions.

  • Earnings:

    • Interims: Greencore Group

    • Overseas: AutoZone, Soitec, Xiaomi

  • Economic Data:

    • UK: BRC Shop Price Index

    • EU: Business Climate Indicator, Consumer Confidence

    • US: Durable Goods Orders, House Price Index, Consumer Confidence


Wednesday 28 May

All eyes will be on Kingfisher’s first-quarter update after shares took a hit during its last results, despite a £300 million share buyback.
Later in the day, Nvidia will report, following CEO Jensen Huang’s comments that US chip export controls have had unintended consequences.
