According to the British military, Russia has lost at least four combat aircraft in Ukraine in the past 10 days. This brings its total attrition to 55 since the invasion began.

The Russian Air Force may have taken greater risks in order to provide close air support for Russian ground forces, which is under increasing pressure from the Ukrainian advances. This was the possibility, according to the Defence Ministry’s daily intelligence on Twitter.

It stated that Russian pilots are often unaware of their surroundings. It is possible that aircraft may have crossed enemy territory or into dense air defense zones, as front lines moved quickly.
