Rome Resources Reports Final Tin Assays From Kalayi Campaign

Kalayi Assays Support Resource Update

Rome Resources PLC (AIM: RMR) said final assay results from its latest drilling campaign at the Kalayi deposit in the Democratic Republic of Congo will now be incorporated into an updated mineral resource estimate targeted for July 2026.

The AIM-listed critical minerals explorer said the results complete the recent drilling programme at Kalayi, part of the Bisie North Project.

Kalayi currently has an inferred mineral resource estimate of 0.33 million tonnes grading 1.36% tin, containing 4.47 kilotonnes of tin. The company said the updated estimate is expected to quantify the impact of the latest drilling campaign on the resource.

Standout intercepts included 9.5 metres at 2.05% tin from 60.0 metres in hole KBDD025, including 6.0 metres at 3.12% tin and 3.0 metres at 5.66% tin.

Hole KBDD033 returned 19.5 metres at 0.52% tin from 144.0 metres, including 1.0 metre at 3.23% tin and 1.0 metre at 2.87% tin.

Hole KBDD034 intersected 5.0 metres at 1.88% tin from 225.0 metres, including 1.5 metres at 4.77% tin. Hole KBDD029 returned 6.5 metres at 0.97% tin from 220.0 metres, including 1.5 metres at 3.24% tin.

Rome said the latest drilling demonstrated wider tin-mineralised zones than previous campaigns while maintaining high-grade intervals.

The company said the length-weighted average tin grade from all samples in the campaign above a 0.5% cut-off was 2.41%, which it said highlights the high-grade potential of the deposit.

Management said the results are expected to strengthen the geological model and provide a foundation for the updated mineral resource estimate. The results remain subject to review by MSA Group.

Alongside the assay work, Rome said it continues to advance the Kalayi pilot mining project, which is expected to support conversion of the current Small Scale Exploitation Permit into a full Mining Licence.

The company has also completed an airborne geophysical survey, with data processing underway. Rome said the results should improve its understanding of the wider Bisie mineralised system and help identify further exploration targets.

Chief executive Paul Barrett said the final assays provide the company with the data needed to progress the updated Kalayi tin resource estimate.

He said the latest programme had continued to show wider mineralised zones while maintaining high-grade tin intervals, supporting the company’s objective of improving continuity and increasing contained tin within the Kalayi resource.
