Sky News: AI latest: King to ask AI leaders ‘two simple questions’ at summit today. The King is hosting AI leaders at a summit today. It comes after warnings from AI firms about the need to slow development for safety reasons – which Donald Trump, China and other tech bosses have disagreed with.

Comment: The anti-AI backlash is an alliance between socialists who hate people in AI making money, Luddites on their Nokia 3310, and virtue signallers desperate to get on a cause. The better AI gets, the better the world will be. We already had the bad actors, dictators and tyrants before AI and that will not change. Not sure how King Charles fits into all this…

Valereum Plc (AQSE: VLRM), a company aiming to become the global market leader in the tokenised digital markets sector, said that  further to the Definitive Agreement with QGP becoming unconditional on 27 August 2026, the Company has received the first quarterly instalment of 13,975 VGOLD-CORE+ tokens.

Comment: This is clearly good news. That said, it would be great to get a little colour into the tokens, the value of the tokens, and for those over 60, perhaps what a token is? Is it like a Green Shield stamp, or one of those things one used to put in a car wash to get it started?

Mindflair plc (MFAI), the company focused on investing in AI related technology, announced its unaudited interim results for the six-month period ended 30 June 2026. The value of the Company’s holding in Sure Ventures plc has also reduced, its share price having fallen by 50% over the period to 35 pence as at 30 June 2026, partly driven by the reduction in its NAV per share from 152.9 pence as at 31 December 2025 to 117.9 pence as at 31 March 2026, being its most recently published NAV. However, the shares still trade at a significant discount to its latest NAV. NAV per share as at the period end was 1.454 pence (31 December 2025: 1.787 pence) compared with the share price of 0.375 pence as at 16 September 2026. The Company is therefore currently trading at a 74% discount to NAV. This discount has continued to widen further during the period notwithstanding the robust nature of the Company’s NAV calculation supported by profitable realisations. The cash balance at the end of the period increased to £683,000 during the period (31 December 2025: £610,000).

Comment: We are in the midst of the one of the greatest AI / tech booms in history. The result of this is that MFAI is trading at a 74% discount to NAV, and sitting on just over half a bar. The conclusion is that it is just as well we are in the midst of one of the greatest AI / tech booms in history.

Strategic Minerals (SML), an international mineral exploration and production company, announced the current resource infill drilling programme has surpassed 5,000 total metres drilled across nine drillholes. The Company provides a general update on the infill resource drilling programme, and other activities, at its Redmoor Tungsten-Copper-Tin Project, located in Cornwall, UK. Redmoor is being developed by the Company’s wholly owned subsidiary, Cornwall Resources Limited.

Comment: Without wishing to be churlish, one probably only needs an occasional RNS telling us that a mining exploration company is drilling. Instead it is all about the results. Most of us already know that Redmoor is the bees knees in Cornwall.

Alkemy Capital Investments plc (ALK), the 100% owner of Tees Valley Lithium Ltd, is announced that TVL has received an Offer in Principle for capital grant funding of up to £18.3 million under the UK Government’s DRIVE35 Automotive Transformation Fund (“ATF”) programme, delivered by the Department for Business, Innovation, Science and Trade in partnership with the Advanced Propulsion Centre UK (“APC”), towards Phase 1 of TVL’s merchant lithium refinery at the Billingham Chemical Complex, Teesside. This offer remains subject to final approvals and TVL is working with BIST to complete the remaining due diligence and conditions required to access the funding.

Comment: Although the government is supposed to be skint, it still has some money not only to save people a quid on the bus, but also to hand out £18m to ALK. This is not only a great development, but also showed up on the daily chart earlier in the week (a gap higher) as the insider traders took their positions. I am presuming a 20% rise today – nice. I am also of course presuming that no one would acknowledge what an excellent charting call it was.

Insig AI plc (INSG), the data science and machine learning solutions company and its subsidiaries announced its results for the year ended 31 March 2026. INSG said “The huge pace of change in AI presents the Company with risks and opportunities. Last year, we delivered creditable top line growth and are forecasting a further acceleration in the current year. We have positioned the business to benefit.  We have also innovated with new and relevant solutions. With our first digital asset investment, we have also laid the foundations to deliver exceptional returns for our shareholders and over time, to attract substantial capital to do so.”

Comment: INSG remains one of London’s genuine small cap AI companies, even the FCA are a client, and they really know what they are doing. In the meantime the battle here is for INSG to establish a proper valuation, as well as a true understanding of the business model.

ACG Metals Limited (ACG) announced the release of its Interim Financial Statements and Report for the period ended 30 June 2026, approved by the Board of Directors on 16 September 2026. ACG said, “ACG delivered a strong first half of 2026 through safe and disciplined execution at Gediktepe. We exceeded our full-year oxide gold and silver production target within six months, while higher realised metal prices and cost optimisation supported robust revenue, EBITDA and operating cash flow. At the same time, we advanced the Sulphide Expansion Project towards first copper concentrate production safely and within budget. Our focus now is on the disciplined ramp-up toward full commercial production by the end of 2026, and converting this investment into sustainable long-term value for shareholders.”

Comment: Despite the share price gains, and the excellent production, one feels that ACG has yet to get the credit it deserves in the market. Nevertheless, one could say that still being somewhat off the radar. At least while above the former 2026 resistance at £18 the bull run remains alive.

Guardian Metal Resources plc (GMET), a strategic exploration and development company focused on tungsten in Nevada, USA, announced its consolidated audited results for the year ended 30 June 2026,

Comment: GMET has been a masterclass in investor relations and raising cash. We look forward to the company production tungsten and making money for shareholders. Oh yes, and the market cap is around half its April peak, so production sooner rather than later would be appreciated, rather than the ongoing proving up of resources.

Revolution Beauty Group plc (REVB), the multi-channel mass beauty brand, is very pleased to announce a successful first half of FY27 as its turnaround strategy gathers pace. The Group expects to report adjusted EBITDA of not less than £2m which compares to a £12.5m loss in the first half of the previous year. Despite the first half of the prior year having been materially flattered at the top line by discount sales to generate cash and sales of discontinued brands and SKUs, this year’s first half produced revenues broadly in line with last year but with a gross margin more than 10 percentage points higher. We also continued with the strong cost discipline that has enabled the business to demonstrate profitability at the EBITDA level in every month for the last twelve months.

Comment: Everyone loves a company moving from red to black. In the case of REVB it is a case of forget the cost of living crisis and enjoy the achievements of the management here. Presumably they could have even turned Ratners around.
