Tirupati Graphite (TGR), the specialist graphite and graphene company, revealed the start of commercial production from its greenfield Vatomina Project in Madagascar with effect from 6 December 2021. The company said it is delighted that Vatomina has successfully ramped-up to commercial production so quickly and smoothly. The lessons it has learnt from this project will be captured to enhance its other ongoing and planned new capacity developments.

Galileo Resources (GLR) revealed asset sale agreements entered into between Glenover Phosphate Proprietary Limited in which Galileo has a 29% direct and 4.99% indirect investment held via Galagen Proprietary Limited who are the BEE partner in Glenover, and JSE Limited listed Afrimat Limited on 8 December 2021. The Asset Sale Agreements relate to the sale for ZAR 250M (approx. GBP11.64M) of certain deposits of phosphate rock located at the Glenover Mine and mining rights to mine the Vermiculite Deposit at the Glenover Mine.
Tekcapital (TEK), the UK intellectual property investment group, announced that MicroSalt Inc’s roll-out of its SaltMe! crisps to Kroger Company, the United States largest supermarket by revenue, has been expanded from 800 stores to 1,800 stores. The roll-out is expected to begin in February 2022.
Anglesey Mining (AYM), the UK minerals development company, updated on the Grängesberg Iron Ore Project in Sweden. The company said the Grängesberg mine provides significant exposure to iron ore for Anglesey Mining. The project has all the attributes of a globally significant iron ore deposit. It has a large resource, the ability to produce a high-grade iron ore concentrate and is situated adjacent to existing rail infrastructure with a direct link to the port of Oxelösund on the Baltic Sea.
Echo Energy (ECHO), the Latin American focused energy company, updated regarding its Santa Cruz Sur assets, onshore Argentina for Q4 2021 to 30 November 2021. Production over the period from 1 January 2021 to 30 November 2021 reached an aggregate of 523,735 boe net to Echo, including 74,605 bbls of oil and condensate and 2,695 mmscf of gas.
Serica Energy (SQZ), a British independent upstream oil and gas company, provided an operations update. The company said it has made significant progress during the second half of 2021. The impact of the substantial investment programmes undertaken in 2020 and 2021 has been increased production levels providing responsibly sourced gas to the UK domestic market.
Alien Metals (UFO), a minerals exploration and development company, said that as part of its development of the Elizabeth Hill Silver Project it has commenced work to re-open the historic underground mine.
Alba Mineral Resources (ALBA) updated on the progress of technical work at the Clogau-St David’s Gold Mine. Analysis of assays from the 2021 Phase 2 underground and surface drill core, 2019 drill core and additional in-mine rock samples has identified four distinct geochemical groupings. The most important grouping is the auriferous vein group which the company says has a compelling gold-silver-bismuth-lead-tellurium association indicative of the presence of gold-bearing mineralising fluids.
Dekel Agri-Vision (DKL), the West African agriculture company, provided a November production update for its Ayenouan palm oil project. As far as Palm Oil production there was a 74.4% increase in November 2021 compared to November 2020. Dekel is currently on track to deliver a record year of annual revenue for the palm oil operation.
Plutus PowerGen (PPG), said that it has signed Heads of Terms with Mayflower Copper Limited to acquire rights to a 61% interest in a high-grade copper and polymetallic project, the Mindouli Copper Project , located in a highly prospective and well-established copper and zinc mining region in the Republic of the Congo. The Board believes the Acquisition to be transformative to Plutus,

Greatland Gold (GGP), a mining development and exploration company, updated on the drilling campaign at the Havieron gold-copper project in the Paterson region of Western Australia. The company said the drill programme at Havieron consistently delivers high grade results and intersects significant mineralisation which continues to support a significant upgrade of the Inferred Mineral Resource to an Indicated Mineral Resource.
Panthera Resources (PAT), the diversified gold exploration and development company, said that drilling has been completed at the Kalaka Project in Mali and the rig has now commenced drilling a 9,000 metres AC programme at the Bassala Project in Mali.
Market newbie Firering Strategic Minerals (FRG), an exploration company focusing on critical minerals, said it has executed the acquisition of 51% of Alliance Minerals Corporation SARL by payment of FCFA150,000,000 (€230,000). The acquisition will provide Firering with a controlling interest in the licence application adjacent to the Company’s flagship Atex Lithium-Tantalum Project in Côte d’Ivoire. The licence, held by Alliance, is partially contiguous to Atex and the Company has confirmed the presence of pegmatites that may be a potential extension of the Atex pegmatites or a secondary deposit.
Horizonte Minerals (HZM), the nickel development company focused in Brazil, said that its wholly owned subsidiary Araguaia Niquel Metais Ltda. has entered into an asset purchase agreement to purchase certain new and unused ferronickel processing equipment from Companhia Brasileira de Alumínio, controlled by Votorantim SA, one of the largest industrial and financial investment holding companies in Latin America.
Thor Mining (THR) said that a tracer test and in-situ lixiviant trials have commenced at the Kapunda Copper ISR Project in South Australia. EnviroCopper Ltd, in which Thor holds a 30% equity interest, has completed the installation of test well arrays and has commenced in-situ recovery trials, including tracer and push pull test work. These tests are the final hydrometallurgical assessments before ECL commences Site Environmental Lixiviant Trials (SELT).
