Tirupati Graphite (TGR), the specialist graphite and graphene company, provided a progress update on three important workstreams.
First, on the installation and commissioning of the Vatomina preconcentrate plant, secondly, on the progress to-date with regards to the rebuilding of the road infrastructure to streamline operations for the installed 12,000 tons per annum capacity, and thirdly, a progress update on the construction phase of the upcoming 18,000 additional capacity in Sahamamy. The company said that with the Vatomina operations coming back online and mobility restored across the two projects, it is well placed to push forward progress and transform further as it plugs in the additional capacity upcoming in Sahamamy.
Caracal Gold (GCAT), the East African gold producer, announced an update on its operations and exploration activities in Kenya and Tanzania for the quarter ended 30 June 2022, specifically, the Company’s Kilimapesa Gold Mine and Processing Operation in Kenya and its exploration projects in Tanzania. The company said the results of the updated Mineral Resource have shown a significant increase in the quality of the resource at Kilimapesa Hill. It has found and will prioritise the next sources of production to complement the growth on Kilimapesa Hill and the existing mining licence. The positive results in the earlier MRE update have further strengthened the Project team’s confidence and justifies the decision to expand production at Kilimapesa to 24,000oz per annum.
Powerhouse Energy Group (PHE), the UK technology company commercialising hydrogen production from plastic, announced that Paul Drennan-Durose has resigned from his post as Chief Executive Offer and will leave the Company on 31 August 2022. The company said Powerhouse is seeing more changes at Board level, but at working level continues to grow in strength, as demonstrated by its announcement on Protos.
Alkemy Capital Investments (ALK) announced that its wholly owned subsidiary Tees Valley Lithium Ltd has entered into a Memorandum of Understanding with Weardale Lithium Limited, an innovative natural resources company that aims to provide secure and sustainable, domestic supply of lithium with associated geothermal energy from underground brines in Weardale, County Durham. The company said Weardale Lithium has the objective to become a UK supplier of lithium from geothermal brines. The partnership with Tees Valley Lithium is another important step in developing an integrated and coherent supply of lithium in North East England, in order to accelerate the adoption of electric vehicles and meet net-zero targets.
East Star Resources (EST), the Kazakhstan-focused gold, rare earths and copper explorer, is announced the award of three new licences comprising 55 blocks (1794-EL, 1795-EL, 1799-EL on the Rudny Altai volcanogenic massive sulfide belt in Kazakhstan. The company said expanding its footprint to include more licences with historical mines is “extremely exciting.” The Pokrovskoye mine contained average grades of 11.5% copper, 3.3% lead and 12% zinc.
Castillo Copper (CCZ), a base metal explorer, provided a strategic update across its projects. The company said with logistics already advanced and a drilling contractor to be appointed shortly, the Board is targeting to secure regulatory / environmental approvals from NSW Resources Regulator within the coming weeks so the campaign can commence in Q4 2022.
Panthera Resources (PAT), a gold exploration company, announced an update on its West African exploration activities. The company said it anticipates receiving the Bassala drilling assays and the Bido IP survey on or about the end of August 2022. The drilling programme at the Labola Project has been completed with the first assays expected in September 2022.
Serinus Energy (SENX) announced its interim results for the six months ended 30 June 2022. EBITDA for the six months ended 30 June 2022 was $8.1 million (30 June 2021 – $5.5 million). Gross profit for the six months ended 30 June 2022 was $8.0 million (30 June 2021 – $2.1 million). The company added that the Canar-1 exploration well commenced drilling on 4 August 2022. Canar-1 will be drilled to 1,600 metres, targeting three prospective hydrocarbon zones and with success will be connected to the Moftinu gas plant, utilising current plant capacity
Horizonte Minerals (HZM), the nickel development company, published its unaudited financial results for the six-month period to 30 June 2022. Post period the company said there were contracts totalling $293 million awarded to-date at Araguaia, including civil works and all major and long-lead time process plant equipment contracts. An agreement was signed with Serviço Nacional de Aprendizagem Industrial for host community skills training; and Araguaia construction running in line with project execution schedule.
Genflow Biosciences (GENF), a UK-based biotechnology company, announced that it was notified on 08 August 2022, that Eric Leire, a director of the Company, purchased 106,000 shares at 2.8p.
