The momentum behind the contract wins at Open Orphan (ORPH), a specialist contract research organisation, grows not only in frequency, but magnitude.

The company said it has signed a £10.4m contract with a top 5 global pharmaceutical company. As part of this contract its subsidiary hVIVO will provide full end-to end human challenge services to this client. ORPH said it will develop a new influenza challenge strain (H1N1) and will conduct a human challenge trial to test the clients oral antiviral candidate.

genedrive (GDR), the near patient molecular diagnostics company, announced that the UK’s National Institute for Health and Clinical Excellence has commenced an evaluation of CYP2C19 genotype testing for Clopidogrel treatment, via a new NICE Diagnostics Assessment Programme. Genedrive’s CYP2C19 ID Kit, currently in development, has been included in the assessment. Both of genedrive’s new emergency Point of Care genetic screening tests are now included in new NICE reviews, following the MT-RNR1 DAP announcement on 16 June 2022.

Marechale Capital (MAC), a corporate finance house, announced its audited final results for the year ended 30 April 2022. Highlights included increased profit to £2,562,000 (FY21: £246,000) and significant increase in balance sheet to £3,630,000 (FY21: £686,000). The company said due to Marechale’s proven track record as a corporate finance adviser in the £5-50 million Enterprise Value PE sector, the Board remains optimistic that the Company will continue to generate further uplifts on its current and future equity and warrant investments, both in the short and longer term.

Plant Health Care® (PHC), a provider of biological products to global agriculture markets, announces a trials agreement with Agrii UK under which Agrii will evaluate Plant Health Care’s novel PREtec technology. The company said Plant Health Care has had a long-term successful relationship with Agrii for the distribution of its ProAct® product. It continues the relationship to include trials for PREtec-based fertilizer products and explore the full potential of this new opportunity with a leading distributor in the agriculture sector in the UK.

Microsaic Systems (MSYS), announced that Kingfield Electronics Limited has appointed Microsaic as an Authorised Partner for front-end research, development, and engineering product development in scientific instrumentation and micro-engineering adding these complementary services to its existing offering of fully integrated turnkey solutions, box build, printed circuit board assembly, commissioning, final test, service, retrofit and world-wide shipping logistics. Microsaic said it welcomes the opportunity to work with Kingfield and support their clients. This upstream value-added service complemented with pilot line manufacture, to validate manufacturability and scalability prior to transfer to Kingfield as the volume manufacturer, is a commercially perfect fit.

Dev Clever (DEV), a developer of mobile and immersive experiences, is announced that it has obtained an up to $30 million three-year unsecured funding facility with RiverFort Global Opportunities PCC Limited. Dev Clever said the facility provides its with a significantly strengthened balance sheet and enables it to pursue the global EdTech growth opportunity with sustained confidence.

GreenRoc Mining (GROC), a company focused on the development of critical minerals projects in Greenland, provided an update on the Phase 2 drilling programme at the Amitsoq Graphite Project in southern Greenland. The company said these drill results are highly encouraging in that it has identified graphite bodies of mineable widths in all holes.

Beowulf (BEM), the mineral exploration and development company, announced the first exploration results from the Majdan Peak prospect, within the Mitrovica licence, in Kosovo and the discovery of a large polymetallic epithermal system. The company said that Polymetallic epithermal deposits form at shallow depths within the earth’s crust and are important sources of base and precious metals and therefore constitute highly desirable exploration targets.

Artemis Resources (ARV) provided an update on the maiden drill program at the Osborne Nickel Prospect, a joint venture project owned 100% by Artemis with GreenTech Metals Ltd, the project manager, earning up to 51%. RC samples from the first drill hole were sent to the ALS laboratory in Perth for multi-element analysis. Although the nickel and copper potential of the sulphides was initially confirmed by handheld pXRF analyser, no significant nickel or copper results were reported in the laboratory analyses.

Artemis also provide additional results from its 100%-owned Paterson Central and Greater Carlow Projects, located in the Pilbara Region of Western Australia. The company said Paterson Central drilling is progressing very well, and it is difficult not to be struck by the scale of the exploration and development activity in the area and the proximity of its project drilling to the emerging Havieron mine.

Rainbow Rare Earths (RBW) announced that it has entered into a Master Agreement with OCP S.A., the Moroccan world leading producer of phosphate products, and Mohammed VI Polytechnic University, a Moroccan university with a strong focus on science, technology and innovation, to further investigate and develop the optimal technique for the extraction of rare earth elements from phosphogypsum.

CyanConnode (CYAN) announced that its subsidiary, CyanConnode India Pvt Ltd, has received its largest-ever order. The order, placed by Genus Power Infrastructures Limited, is for one million Omnimesh Modules, together with Advanced Metering Infrastructure, Standards-Based Hardware, Omnimesh Head-End Software, Perpetual License and a Support and Maintenance Contract.

Mkango Resources (MKA) announce that it has filed a Technical Report in relation to the Definitive Feasibility Study for the Songwe Hill Rare Earths Project in Malawi previously announced on July 5, 2022.
