Canadian Overseas Petroleum (COPL), an international oil and gas exploration and development company, today proved recent rumours correct, as it unveiled an accelerated bookbuild to raise net proceeds of approximately $7.5 million by way of a placing. The Bookbuild will open with immediate effect following the release of this announcement.

There was a double dose of news from San Leon (SLE), the independent oil and gas production, development and exploration company focused on Nigeria, as it updated regarding the outstanding loan notes due from Midwestern Leon Petroleum Limited. San Leon has agreed with MLPL, Midwestern and Martwestern to a further extension of the Conditional Payment Waiver in relation to the payment of approximately US$32 million that was originally due on 5 July 2021 to the end of December 2021. In addition, there was the arrival of a CFO with solid experience. Julian Tedder previously served as Chief Financial Officer of IGas Energy plc and General Manager, Finance of Tullow Oil plc.
NFT Investments (NFT), an incubator specialising in the market for NFT’s it has made an investment of $1million in NFT Studios Ltd, a production company funding its films exclusively through NFTs. The investment gives the company a 20% share in NFT Studios.
Somewhat under the radar Jadestone Energy (JSE), an independent oil and gas production company, announced that a gas sales agreement for the Akatara field, located within the Lemang production sharing contract, was signed today at an industry conference in Indonesia.
Somewhat under the cosh Cloudbreak Discovery (CDL), and Alianza Minerals Ltd. announced the results from a surface sampling program at the Klondike Property, the first project acquired under the newly formed Strategic Alliance. The Klondike Property, located in Colorado, United States, consists of 76 unpatented mining claims, a State of Colorado Exploration Permit and an exclusive right to a State lease. It Is to be hoped this may be the start of a rehabilitation for CDL.
Oracle Power (ORCP), the international natural resources project developer, which has been revitalised with the Sheik’s fresh warrant exercise, announced an update on its green hydrogen production facility project in Pakistan. This is in partnership with PowerChina International Group Ltd. A preliminary technical study has been completed by PowerChina to establish key technical and commercial contours for the delivery of a facility to produce hydrogen with electrolysers powered by photovoltaics and wind energy in Pakistan. The target is a 400MW capacity hydrogen plant, with planned hydrogen production of approximately 150,000kg per day.
Prospex Energy (PXEN) the AIM quoted investment company which recently saw off rebel shareholders, updated on the El Romeral plant optimisation project in southern Spain, in which the company holds a 49.9% working interest, through its interest in Tarba Energía. The plant optimisation programme was delayed by computer technology supply chain issues which have since been addressed. The last items of equipment necessary to automate plant operations arrived to allow the plant automation upgrades to commence on 21 November 2021.
ADM Energy (ADME), a natural resources investing company, noted that Panoro Energy ASA and PetroNor E&P Limited have agreed to further extend the long-stop date to the end of December for Panoro to sell 100% of its interest in OML 113 to PetroNor.
Dispersion (DEFI), an incubator specialising in decentralised finance, launched AQRU, a platform which enables simple access to the competitive crypto yields available in DeFi. AQRU is a consumer-facing platform that opens up the DeFi markets to the everyday investor. The platform, which will also be open to institutional investors, offers the trading of major cryptocurrencies Bitcoin (BTC) and Ether (ETH) as well as pegged digital assets. It makes the conversion of fiat to cryptocurrency simple and understandable while also paying market-leading yields of up to 12% on held assets.
It may be the case that there will be notable benefit to Mode Global (MODE), the LSE-listed Fintech Group, with the appointment of David Anderson as an Independent Non-Executive Director of the Group, with effect from 30 November 2021. Anderson’s experience spans over 30 years in senior roles in the retail and hospitality sector. David was previously a Director of JGOO Ltd, a subsidiary of Mode Global Holdings PLC.
Bear target Tern (TERN), the investment company specialising in the Internet of Things, said that the maturity date for all convertible loan notes provided to Device Authority Limited by Tern, Alsop Louie Partners and the George Samenuk Family Trust et al., has been extended to 31 March 2022. All existing repayment and conversion rights, automatic and at the holder’s option, have also been extended to 31 March 2022.
Abingdon Health (ABDX), a leading international developer and manufacturer of rapid tests, announced a deeply discounted placing to raise £3.7m at 25p. Shares of the tester closed yesterday at 38p.
Online Blockchain (OBC), announced its preliminary results for the year ended 30 June 2021. The company said it launched of Umbria’s Narni Bridge which is” growing by the day.” While Narni Bridge was launched at the very end of 2021, Narni Bridge’s performance and uptake by its community has been “promising.” Online Blockchain Plc also has an interest of 17.64% in ADVFN (AFN) which has been performing strongly.
ANGLE (AGL), a liquid biopsy company, announced the publication of new clinical research undertaken by the world-class team at the Medical University of Vienna, Austria. The company said that Intact living CTCs harvested using the Parsortix system allow for analysis of key protein targets for drug therapy, such as PD-L1 status, in addition to gene expression profiling (RNA) for any gene of interest. Gene expression analysis is becoming increasingly recognised as critical in understanding the true nature of a patient’s cancer.
