AfriTin Mining (ATM), an African technology metals mining company, provided an update on its lithium and tantalum product development programme.

The company said the object of the programme is to demonstrate the potential commercial viability of a lithium petalite concentrate co-product from the Uis Mine, and provide samples for potential offtake partners, whilst simultaneously de-risking the development of commercial-scale processing plant for lithium.

Ferro-Alloy Resources (FAR), the vanadium producer and developer, announced the completion of drilling for ore body one and the partial completion of drilling on ore bodies 2, 3 and 4, following a total of 19,720 metres of drilling undertaken in 2022.

Lexington Gold (LEX), the gold exploration and development company with projects in North and South Carolina, USA, announce an operational update in respect of its four gold projects in the USA. The company said it was excited to report starting its soil and surface sampling programme at Jennings-Pioneer. It will also, in a matter of weeks, commence trenching and sampling work at its Argo project.

SEED Innovations (SEED), the AIM quoted investment company, announced that the unitholders of portfolio company Fralis LLC, have entered into a conditional Sale & Purchase Agreement for the sale of the remainder of Leap to existing unitholder IMG Arena US, LLC based upon an enterprise value of €14 million. SEED said that the divestment would secure approximately €5.9m cash to the company over 2 year period.

Castillo Copper (CCZ), a base metal explorer, has approved further work on known targets within the highly prospective Luanshya Project in Zambia’s copper belt. Based on current plans, the work is schedule to progress during 1H2023.

Chill Brands Group (CHLL), the international consumer packaged goods company, announce that production has commenced on a new line of disposable vapour products scheduled to launch during Q1 2023. These nicotine-free botanical e-cigarette devices will initially be available in three fruit flavours with sales to be made both in retail stores and online via Chill.com.

Topps Tiles (TPT) announced that on 6 December 2022 it received requisition notices to remove board directors and replace them with a new one, pursuant to section 338 of the Companies Act 2006 requiring that the board of directors of the company include resolutions in the notice of the company’s annual general meeting proposed to be held on 18 January 2023.

Caerus Mineral Resources (CMRS) announced it has entered into a binding heads of agreement with PM Ploutonic Metals Ltd and Indo-European Mining PR Ltd, pursuant to which Caerus will transfer its Cyprus assets to Ploutonic and Indo. Caerus said the transaction marks the end of its direct involvement in Cyprus and reflects its broader strategy to seek larger development opportunities in the battery metals sector that is aligned to or derived from its partnership with EV Metals.

Altona (ANR), a mining exploration company focused on Rare Earth Elements mining projects in Africa, announced it has successfully completed its 2022 Drilling Programme at its Mozambique Monte Muambe Project, on time and within budget. The company said that the objective of this second phase drilling programme was to provide sufficient data to enable the Company to deliver the project’s maiden Mineral Resource Estimate (Q1 2023) and Scoping Study (Q2 2023).

Destiny Pharma (DEST), a clinical stage biotechnology company, reported on the publication of findings from the FDA and US CDC public workshop on considerations for the prevention of hospital-acquired infection. The company said this workshop marks an important starting point for the FDA, CDC and the pharmaceutical industry to exchange ideas and thoughts which look at substantially increasing the development of new drugs addressing infection prevention.

Greatland Gold (GGP), a mining development and exploration company, advised that Australian corporate and mining leaders Mark Barnaba and Elizabeth Gaines have joined the Company’s Board as Non-Executive Directors. The company said Barnaba is an eminent natural resources investment banker and Deputy Chair of A$60 billion ASX-listed Fortescue Metals Group Ltd, has been appointed to the role of Non-Executive Chair. Ms Gaines, former Fortescue CEO and Managing Director, joins the Board as Deputy Chair.

Thor Mining (THR) provided an exploration update on rock chip sampling at the Kelly’s NE Prospect at the Company’s 100% owned Ragged Range Project, located in Eastern Pilbara, Western Australia. The company said the Kelly’s NE area was defined in recent airborne magnetics and a compilation of previous exploration work. Despite significant soil anomalies being defined in the area, no drilling has been undertaken at the prospect. Rock chip sampling has now confirmed high-grade copper with significant gold and silver.

MGC Pharmaceuticals (MXC), a European based pharmaceutical company, said it has completed pre-clinical trial testing the efficacy of the CimetrA™ formulation on rodents exhibiting the cytokine storm, in order to measure the anti-inflammatory effects of three different dosages. The company said the completion of this study is critical in the advancement of our submission to the FDA and for the final approval of CimetrA™ as an IND in the US. There are further efficacy and safety trials to support our application, but these results are key step in the demonstration of CimetrA™ as a treatment for the symptoms of the cytokine storm.

Sovereign Metals (SVML), announced that it intends to undertake a demerger whereby Sovereign’s Malawian graphite projects being the Nanzeka Project, Malingunde Project, Duwi Project and Mabuwa Project are to be demerged through NGX Limited, a wholly owned subsidiary of the Company, allowing Sovereign to focus on the development of the Kasiya Rutile Project while unlocking value in its Graphite Projects.

Tissue Regenix (AIM: TRX), the regenerative medical device company, announced the launch of VNEW® Fascia Lata allograft, an additional line extension to the Company’s dCELL® division. The VNEW® Fascia Lata is a soft tissue allograft used to support weakened tissue that can result in stress urinary incontinence, which affects around one-third of adult women at some point in their lives1. The number of women undergoing surgery annually in the US for SUI is around 260,000.

Amaroq Minerals (AMRQ), an independent mine development corporation, provided the results of its 2022 exploration programme at Nalunaq. The company said expanding the footprint of the Valley Block up to twice the size, with even higher grades sampled (116g/t Au) makes for exciting times at Amaroq Minerals. The 2022 Nalunaq exploration results, the most successful drilling campaign to date, build further on its understanding of the Valley Block.

Power Metal Resources (POW), the London listed exploration company, announced a drilling update from the Molopo Farms Complex Project targeting a large-scale nickel and platinum group element discovery in southwestern Botswana. The company said Molopo Farms Complex Project represents a substantial discovery opportunity, both in terms of size and potential, and it is thrilled to report the presence of the targeted nickel sulphides from the inaugural drillhole into target area T1-3, which is an immense target.

88 Energy (88E), announced that it has executed a rig contract with Nordic-Calista LLC (Nordic) for the use of their Rig-2 to drill the Hickory-1 exploration well on the Alaskan North Slope. The company said the Hickory-1 well is designed to appraise six conventional reservoir targets within the SMD, SFS, BFF and KUP reservoirs and 647 million barrels of oil1,2, with spud scheduled for late-February / early-March 2023.
