Quantum Data Energy (LON: MAST) advances flagship CHP project with major holiday park proposal

Quantum Data Energy PLC has taken a substantial step forward in expanding its distributed energy portfolio, submitting a detailed proposal for a 10 MW Combined Heat and Power (CHP) project at a major UK holiday park.

Quantum’s Key Growth Strategies:

Quantum has developed and implemented four key growth strategies, each of which it is progressing simultaneously in order to establish a 300+ MW portfolio of flexible generation power capacity as part of its long-term vision to build a 1 GW platform of distributed energy assets.

·     AI Datacentres Power Supply Strategy – read latest update here;

·    Holiday Parks Power Supply Strategy – as previously announced here, and with a progress update further below in this RNS announcement;

·    Brownfields Strategy, to acquire existing flexgen assets already constructed, needing limited refurbishment, resulting in lower investment cost and quicker timeline to income production – read latest update here; and

·      Greenfields Strategy – read latest update here.

The plan includes a 5 MW onsite power and heat system to serve the holiday park directly, alongside an additional 5 MW of capacity for export to the National Grid. Developed as part of a joint venture with Avanti-e, the project is designed to offer discounted and stable energy pricing, improved operational resilience and reduced exposure to wholesale power volatility.

The company said the scheme forms part of its wider strategy to roll out CHP solutions across the leisure sector, with a near-term target of 25 MW of capacity in holiday parks alone.

In a further boost to delivery capability, Quantum Data Energy has appointed Levercor Energy Ltd as its preferred EPC (Engineering, Procurement and Construction) partner, enhancing its ability to execute projects efficiently and scale operations.

The initiative supports the group’s longer-term ambition to build a 1 GW distributed energy platform, positioning it as a growing player in decentralised power generation and low-carbon energy infrastructure.

Ivan Wentzel, Head of Operations at Quantum Data Energy PLC, said: The appointment of Levercor as our preferred EPC partner and the submission of this first full CHP-PPA proposal represent strong early progress in our holiday-park strategy. Our collaboration with Avanti and Levercor gives us a highly capable development and delivery platform for these projects. We see this sector as an important strategic growth area for Quantum, offering long-term contracted revenues and an opportunity to deploy efficient, resilient energy solutions at scale.
