Premier African Minerals Ltd (AIM: PREM, OTC: PRMMF) has reported the latest assay results from its drilling activities at the Zulu lithium project in Zimbabwe, indicating a significant presence of spodumene, the lithium-bearing hard rock.
Notably, two boreholes, ZDD162 and ZDD163, displayed lithium grades exceeding 1% within intercept widths of seven meters or more. CEO George Roach expressed satisfaction with these findings, particularly as the holes were drilled in the Southeast zone, an area currently under development and separate from the ongoing pit operations.
Roach commented, “The dominance of Spodumene Quartz Intergrowths in this Southeast zone, accounting for over 90% of mineralization, is promising. Additionally, ZDD165, an infill borehole from our North pit (Main zone), aligns with our previous conclusions.”
In terms of project logistics, Roach noted that all components required for the thickener are either on-site or en route. He also stated, “The final components and the ball mill are scheduled for departure to the site on January 29, 2024. The mill is set to undergo factory testing on January 26, 2024, immediately before shipping.”
