Powerhouse Energy Gp (AIM:PHE) Delivery of Kiln to Technical Centre

Powerhouse Energy Group Plc (AIM: PHE), a leader in integrated technology that converts non-recyclable waste into low-carbon energy, along with its revenue-generating engineering consulting division, Engsolve, announced the successful delivery and installation of the Thermal Conversion Chamber (TCC) kiln at the Company’s Bridgend Technical Centre.

The kiln, supplied by AGICO Group of China, was delivered on schedule and within budget. It serves as the centrepiece of the Feedstock Testing Unit (FTU), enabling the commencement of ancillary equipment installation. Engsolve will handle the installation, while the PHE R&D team will undertake commissioning and testing.

Supplied by AGICO Group of China, the kiln, described by PHE as the centrepiece of the Feedstock Testing Unit (FTU), will facilitate the commencement of ancillary equipment installation.

Engsolve, the engineering division of Powerhouse, will handle the installation, while the PHE R&D team will oversee commissioning and testing. The FTU in Bridgend is designed to convert 2.5 tonnes of waste per day into Syngas and serves as a smaller-scale version of the planned commercial process.

The unit is expected to produce around 250 kW of electrical power, depending on the feedstock, or approximately 200 kg of hydrogen daily once the necessary separation process is in place.

Initially, the FTU will be used for R&D and demonstrations for investors and customers. Subsequently, the company will explore commercial opportunities for the process.

The installation and commissioning of the kiln are slated for completion in the fourth quarter of this year.

Paul Emmitt, CEO of PHE, commented:
“This is a huge milestone for Powerhouse and draws a line under our past vendor issues. The progress that the Powerhouse Team as a whole (PHE and Engsolve) have made in the last six months is exceptional. The progress on the technology centre and the FTU means that we can not only return to our goal of progressing our R&D activities, but this will provide us with a showcase for our patented technology allowing us to drive forward the rollout of our process.”
