Power Metal reports £3.2m profit and strong balance sheet growth

Power Metal Resources plc (AIM: POW) reported a comprehensive profit of £3.2 million for the year ended 31 December 2025, underpinned by successful portfolio management and continued progress across its global exploration assets.

The company ended the year with total equity of £26 million and a cash balance of £5.68 million, providing a solid financial platform to advance its growing portfolio of resource projects and strategic investments.

A key highlight of the year was the disposal of part of its holding in Guardian Metal Resources, which generated proceeds of £13.58 million and delivered a return of approximately 11.8 times Power Metal’s original investment. The transaction has significantly strengthened the group’s balance sheet and provided additional capital for future growth opportunities.

Across its exploration portfolio, Power Metal continued to advance projects in North America and the Arabian Shield. The company reported progress in identifying uranium targets and delivered encouraging copper assay results from its projects in Oman, supporting management’s strategy of building exposure to commodities critical to the global energy transition.

The company also expanded its investment portfolio with a £4 million investment in Apex Royalties, securing an 11.76% stake in the royalty and streaming business, while investing a further £1 million for a 35% interest in Minestarters, a blockchain-enabled decentralised finance platform focused on mining exploration funding.

Management said the combination of exploration success, strategic investments and strong capital discipline positions the company to continue creating value across multiple commodity sectors and jurisdictions.

With a strengthened balance sheet and significant liquidity following the Guardian Metal disposal, Power Metal enters 2026 with substantial financial flexibility to pursue further exploration, acquisitions and strategic investment opportunities.
