Panther Metals Plc (LON: PALM) has registered with the US federal System for Award Management and received the identifiers needed to pursue relevant US government procurement and funding opportunities.
The company has been issued a Unique Entity Identifier, or UEI, through SAM.gov, as well as a NATO Commercial and Government Entity, or NCAGE, code through the UK Ministry of Defence.
Panther said the registrations allow it to engage directly in appropriate US government-related opportunities and form part of its strategy to position the business within the North American critical-minerals supply chain.
The company is currently advancing discussions relating to its project portfolio in Ontario, Canada, where it believes one opportunity has the potential to become strategically significant to longer-term North American mineral supply.
Chief executive Darren Hazelwood described the registrations as a small but important step, saying Panther is now formally within the systems required to pursue relevant US government opportunities.
He said the company had been encouraged to accelerate engagement with government and industry in recent weeks as North America seeks to strengthen domestic and allied supply chains for critical minerals.
The announcement does not identify a specific US funding programme, procurement process or financial award, and Panther has not disclosed the scale or timing of any potential government support.
For investors, the significance is therefore primarily strategic at this stage. Panther has completed the administrative registrations needed to participate in relevant US government processes, but the next material milestone will be whether that positioning converts into formal applications, partnerships, funding commitments or procurement agreements linked to its Ontario assets.
