# Nuformix Appoints Tim Metcalfe as Non-Executive Chairman

[Nuformix plc (LON: NFX) ](https://www.investegate.co.uk/announcement/rns/nuformix--nfx/appointment-of-chairman/9737682)has appointed **Tim Metcalfe as Non-Executive Chairman**, with the role taking effect from **1 September 2026**.

Metcalfe will replace **Dr Julian Gilbert**, who is stepping down from the board on 31 August for personal reasons. Gilbert will remain involved with Nuformix in a consultancy capacity, providing continuity and ongoing access to his sector experience.

Metcalfe brings more than **30 years of corporate finance and capital markets experience**, having held senior roles at Robert Fleming, Rothschild, Westhouse Securities, Northland Capital Partners and Zeus Capital.

He later co-founded **IFC Advisory**, where he serves as Managing Director, and has extensive experience advising companies on strategy, mergers and acquisitions, fundraising, capital markets and regulatory matters.

Metcalfe is also Senior Independent Non-Executive Director of The Investment Company plc and Non-Executive Chairman of Equipmake Holdings plc.

His appointment comes as Nuformix continues to advance its **NXP002 programme**, including ongoing discussions with prospective development and licensing partners.

Metcalfe said his focus would be on creating shareholder value through NXP002, partnering discussions and evaluating broader strategic opportunities.
