Mosman Oil and Gas Ltd (AIM: MSMN) has confirmed Howard McLaughlin as its permanent Chief Executive Officer, after serving as interim CEO since June. Carl Dumbrell becomes Executive Chairman, while Andrew Scott moves into an Executive Director role.
McLaughlin, who joined Mosman in 2017 as manager of US operations, played a key role in expanding into the North American helium sector, introducing the Sagebrush and Coyote Wash projects in Colorado. He previously spent 19 years at BHP Petroleum, rising to Vice President of Global Exploration, and has held senior leadership roles in international energy companies.
Dumbrell welcomed the appointment, noting McLaughlin’s personal investment in Sagebrush and long-standing commitment to Mosman. He added that with a verified helium resource and a defined development pathway, the company is well-positioned for future growth.
Looking ahead, Mosman plans to carry out a 3D seismic survey over Sagebrush in October and an extended well test on Sagebrush-1 in the fourth quarter.
Carl Dumbrell, Executive Chairman of Mosman, commented: “We are delighted that Howard has agreed to become Mosman’s CEO. His personal investment in Sagebrush and his long-standing commitment to Mosman since 2017 make him the ideal person to lead the Company. Over the coming months we will reach important milestones, including the start of 3D seismic over Sagebrush in October and the extended well test on Sagebrush-1 in Q4. Together with progress at Coyote Wash, these steps mark the beginning of an exciting new chapter for Mosman. With an independently verified helium resource and a clear pathway to development, the Company is well positioned for future value creation and we move forward with confidence.”
