[Mkango Resources Limited](https://www.investegate.co.uk/announcement/rns/mkango-resources--mka/hypromag-usa-finalises-long-term-lease/9289273) has announced a major milestone for its US subsidiary, **HyProMag USA**, which has now secured a lease for its first rare-earth magnet recycling and manufacturing facility in the **Dallas–Fort Worth** region of Texas.

The site spans **128,000 sq ft** and is expected to be **commissioned by mid-2027**. It will deploy HyProMag’s **patented HPMS (Hydrogen Processing of Magnet Scrap)** technology to extract rare-earth materials from end-of-life products and remanufacture them into new magnets — a key step toward building a **domestic, circular supply chain** for critical NdFeB magnets in the United States.

Key details of the planned facility include:

**Annual output:** ~**750 tonnes** of recycled NdFeB magnets

**Co-products:** ~**807 tonnes** per year

**Operational lifespan:** 40 years

**Employment:** **90–100 skilled jobs**

**Carbon footprint:** **2.35 kg CO₂-equivalent per kg** of product, significantly lower than conventional production

**Julian Treger, CoTec CEO commented: **“Finalising the Texas Facility lease represents another major milestone in HyProMag USA’s mission to deliver a secure, sustainable rare-earth magnet supply chain in the United States. With the site secured and local partnerships in place, we’re moving decisively toward completing financing, construction and the first commercial-scale production of recycled magnets in the United States.“
