Kromek Group PLC (AIM: KMK) announced securing four advanced imaging contracts valued at US$1.63 million from its current manufacturing clientele.
The company, specializing in radiation and bio-detection technology solutions, will supply detector components based on its proprietary cadmium zinc telluride (CZT) technology. These components are destined for use in CT scanning, gamma imaging, and gamma probes.
Two of these orders are scheduled for delivery within this financial year, while the remaining two are planned for completion over the next 12 to 24 months.
Kromek’s CZT-based products are pivotal in medical imaging, offering ultra-high-resolution imaging systems. This enhanced image quality is crucial for clinicians, enabling earlier diagnoses and thereby improving patient outcomes.
Arnab Basu, the Chief Executive of Kromek, expressed satisfaction with these repeat orders from existing clients, highlighting the recurring nature of the company’s business in the advanced imaging sector.
He anticipates further expansion of their customer base in this vital segment, driven by the growing adoption of next-generation detection technologies in medical imaging. Basu looks forward to consistently increasing repeat business and new customer acquisitions as the company’s existing development agreements transition into the supply phase.
